Find XenApp 6.5 License server name from registry

AFAIK, there is no direct GUI link to check the license server name so i thought to put a post so that whenever needed, I can quickly check it. Below are the 4 places where you can find license server name. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Citrix\LSName HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Citrix\Licensing\MFCM_LSHostName [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Citrix\IMA\Licensing] “LicenseServerHostName”=" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Control\Citrix] “LSName”="" If you want to change the license server name, best way is to open the xenapp server role manager and edit licensing, then change the name, apply and reboot.

Redeploy Provisioning Services without Re-Installing

If we want to rebuild our PVS server, It might be a very time taking process to uninstall all the components and reinstall them again. If we are working with production enviornment, we must be very careful and check if there are any components which are not properly uninstalled. If not, we again need to go for a fresh OS installation and proceed with pvs server installation. This might be a very frustrating process in case we are working in any test environment.

Enable XenApp Maintenance Mode

Prior to version XenApp 6.5 the most common method was to use Custom Load Evaluator that will report a full load when assigned to a server. The main reasons to use Load Evaluator were: Load Evaluator assigment is stored in data store, so Load Evaluator can be assigned to a server, even while server is offline. Load Evaluator will reject new sessions, but it will allow user to reconect to disconnected session Load Evaluator will affect only ICA sessions and RDP connection will still be allowed In XenApp version 6.
