Reset License Server Admin Password

A default administrator account ‘admin’ is created during installation of the Citrix License Administration Console. You can set the password for this account during installation. Try to logon with the default ‘admin’ password ‘admin’ to configure your domain users. NOTE: ‘admin’ is not ‘Admin’ they are case sensitive. If you have lost the licensing server admin password then you can reset the admin password in the licence server configuration file.

System requirements for XenApp 7.6 and XenDesktop 7.6

The system requirements in this topic are valid when this product version released. System requirements components not covered in this topic (such as StoreFront, host systems, receivers and plug-ins, and Provisioning Services) are described in their respective documentation. Unless otherwise noted, the component installer deploys software prerequisites automatically (such as .NET and C++ packages) if they are not detected on the machine.

what is netscaler

Netscaler is an Application delivery controller which is used for Load balancing, Http compression, SSL Offloading(which is useful for web servers),content switching, application acceleration, application firewall and more. A NetScaler appliance is usually deployed in front of a server farm and functions as a transparent TCP proxy between clients and servers, without requiring any client-side configuration.(Basically L4-L7 web Application Delivery Controller too..) Available as a physical or virtual appliance, Citrix NetScaler is an application delivery controller that:

XenDesktop 7 Site Configuration Database ** IMP

XenDesktop 7, and some of the earlier XD editions as well, is based on the FlexCast Management Architecture or FMA in short. Simply put you could state that the FMA is primarily made up out of Delivery Controllers and Agents, of-course there’s more to it but for now lets just leave it at that. Have a lookhere for a complete overview on FMA. Delivery Agents are installed on all virtual and or physical machines provisioned by XenDesktop 7, they communicate (and register themselves) with the Delivery Controller(s) which on their turn contact the license server and communicate with the central Site configuration database, lets have a closer look.

How to Troubleshoot Slow Logons on XenApp

First of all try to isolate the problem. Ex, if you think GPOs are creating problems, create fresh OU, place a new server in that OU, block inheritance and check the problem. Complete the following procedure to troubleshoot slow logon issues on XenApp: Note: Complete Steps 1 to 3 with the same user account, in a load balanced environment. It might be necessary to log on to multiple Remote Desktop Servers to verify if the issue is seen on one or more servers.

Set Load Balancing and qfarm alternative in XD7

With XenDesktop 7, the name XenApp will no longer be used for new products. Well I even made a statement that XenApp died! Well it will be on 14th of January of 2020. When we take a look at XenDesktop 7 Studio, we see that there is no longer a Load Balancing option in the console. For a Desktop OS there is no need for load balancing because you have just one session per OS.

XD7 Troubleshooting

when you open storefront, it says “before you begin, create a new deployment or join existing on…” Even after creating new deployment and uninstalled and reinstalled storefront. Then installed dot net first and then reinstalled. and had no problems. No qfarm commands in xd7. use powershell instead The ‘StoreFront’ node under ‘Configuration’ in Citrix Studio is all about configuring StoreFront URL addresses that become configured on XenDesktop VDA machines, such that the user sessions on those machines, when they start Receiver in the session, get connected to the appropriate StoreFront servers to serve the appropriate apps etc for those users.

XenApp Slow Logons

Below are some of the points where user might face slow logons in accessing citrix apps/desktops: Winlogon Troubleshooting Steps Before investing too much time in troubleshooting Citrix, be sure to log onto the Xenapp server via RDP to make sure that logons remain slow there as well. If you want to know everything that is happening during the logon process, there are verbose logs that can be enabled. In Server 2003, you can enable the USERENV logging by following the KB article: http://support.

XA Troubleshooting

When there is a dependency for an application to start another exe before it is started, Created script in startup folder so that the supporting exe will be started up and users manually launch their required app later We use XenDesktop 7.5 with UPM 5.1, so the same user profile is used by XA. User’s default browser is Google Chrome. When he launch Outlook 2013 installed on server from Storefront and try to open URL from letter, an error “Application not found” is appears.
