XenServer 6 Prerequisites

Infrastructure
XenServer Host
- 64-bit x86 server-class system
- CPU: 1.5 GHz minimum, 2 GHz or faster multi-core recommended
- Intel® VT or AMD-V™ required for support of Windows guests
- 2GB to 1TB physical memory
- Up to 64 logical processors
- 100Mb/s or faster NIC
- Up to 16 physical NICs
- Local, Fibre Channel or SAN boot disk with 16 GB of space minimum, 60 GB or more recommended
- Fibre Channel, iSCSI or NFS LUN with 356MB of space minimum for High Availability (HA) heartbeat storage repository
XenCenter Client
- x86-based system
- Microsoft® Windows® 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server® 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista , or Windows 7 (all Editions and Versions)
- .NET Framework 2.0 SP1 or later
- CPU speed: 750 MHz minimum, 1 GHz or faster recommended
- RAM: 512 MB minimum
- Disk space: 100 MB minimum

Provisioning Service
Provisioning Services Host
- CPU: Intel or AMD x86 or x64 compatible; 2 GHz minimum; 3 GHz preferred; 3.5 GHz Dual Core/HT or similar for loads greater than 250 target devices
- RAM: 2 GB minimum; 4 GB preferred; 4 GB required for >250 vDisks
- Disk space: 250 MB minimum; additional storage required for vDisks stored on Provisioning Services host
- Network interface card: Dual 1 GB Ethernet for 250+ clients. Note: Two NICs often perform better than dual-ported NIC
- OS: Microsoft Windows Server 2003 SP2 (32 or 64-bit) all editions; Windows Server 2008 (32 or 64-bit) all editions; Windows Server 2008 R2 (Standard, DataCenter, and Enterprise editions)
Provisioning Services Management Console
- CPU: Intel or AMD x86 or x64 compatible; 1 GHz minimum; 2 GHz preferred
- RAM: 1 GB minimum, 2 GB preferred
- Disk space: 500 MB minimum
- OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional (32 or 64-bit), Vista (32 or 64-bit), or Server 2003 (32 or 64-bit) all editions, Windows Server 2008 (32 or 64-bit) all editions, Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard, DataCenter and Enterprise Editions with MMC 3.0
XenCenter Installation requirements:
Citrix XenCenter is a Windows-based application which can be installed on either a physical or virtual machine.
It should be installed on any of the following Windows flavors: Windows XP, Vista, 7, Server 2003, 2008, and 2008R2. It requires .NET Framework 3.5.
Its minimum CPU requirement is 750 MHz but 1 GHz is recommended. Minimum required RAM is 1 GB but the recommended is 2 GB. It occupies 100 MB of disk space and operates on a NIC with at least 100 Mb speed. Finally, the minimum required screen resolution is 1024 x 768.
